Biography about the Billiard Professional Ralf Souquet
In the restaurant from my parents in 1974 I played billiards at the age of 6 years for the first time. From this point I have 8 years trained daily for up to 5 hours. At the age of 14, I was able to win the first title in a German Championship in the student area. In 1985, I was for the first time European Champion with the national team and was a year later the first individual title at the European Youth Championships for me. In 1989, I was first elected by the readers of the "European Pocket Billiard News" Player of the Year in Europe. Since 1981 I have to be charged more than 250 tournament successes including 42 German championships and 37 European Championship titles. The most successful year of my career so far was in 1996, 2002 and 2006. In 1997, I also use the 'Silver Laurel Leaf', the highest German athlete award, by the Federal-President Roman Herzog, represented by the Federal Interior Minister Manfred Kanther, in Bonn - Bad Godesberg awarded.

The CBSA 9-Ball International Open in Hongze is in the history books with 2 new Champions: In the men’s final Taiwanese player Xie Jia Zhen beat Chinese no. 1 Wu Jia Qing with 13-10 after he trailed the match 6-0 at the beginning. In the women’s division it came almost down to the wire but[…]
All Japan Championships are now history for me. After a pretty good start with 3 convincing wins over Japanese players (9-3, 9-5, 11-1) I lost to Filipino Johann Chua with 2-11 and was basically without a chance. He broke great and ran 7 or 8 racks in total. Wish I had more chances to play[…]

I felt pretty good at the World Pool Masters after a nice 8-3 win over Nikos Ekonomopoulos in round 1. Played ok in the quarterfinals against Mark Gray, even though I missed 2 balls and misjudged 2 safeties. Leading 6-3 with an open table, I should have gone on the hill, but unfortunately I missed[…]
